My XMP3 has been a big disappointment since I bought it. It has many issues, but the most frustrating is that it only works outside, if I stand still and keep the antenna pointed just right.
I can sometimes get a signal in the house, but only in certain spots. I want to be able to listen to XM sitting in my recliner, but it only works once in a while, if I hold it in just the right spot.
The good news is that the antenna in these headphones does give me just enough improvement in reception that I can now listen to XM sitting in my recliner, and it doesn't matter how I hold the XMP3. I can point the XMP3 straight at the ground and still get a usable, stable signal from the headphone antenna. It's not a great improvement in signal strength; I still only get signal in some areas for the house, but it works where I really want it to.
The bad news is, the sound quality is not to my liking. I prefer a flat frequency response and these headphones have a strong bass response and a weak high frequency response. If you like dull, boomy sound, you will like these.
The headphones fit pretty good. They are a little tight on me, but it keeps them sealed good inside my ear canals.
I guess I'll learn to like them since I need to use them to get a signal where I want to listen to XM.
Or, maybe I'll do a little headphone surgery and see if I can splice on some better sounding phones :)
Edit: I just discovered that I can still listen to my good headphones plugged into the normal headphone jack on top of the XMP3 player even with these headphones plugged into the bottom.

Great sound quality & fit rather comfortably, but only increases radio reception marginally.still couldn't pick up radio reception in my gym(which is what I wanted the headphones for).Better reception outside though.

The headphones are great. I got them out of the box and put them on this morning to walk the dog. I was able to listen to my favorite channel before I even left the garage. Very Easy to use!!!
