Wired power to aux/cigarette lighter. Worked perfect. System is intuitive and simple to install.
Very easy hookup. Works great!! September 12, 2009 Eric E. Isham (Greenville, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a great purchase. item hooked up very easily to the radio and Sirius Tuner. Does 100% of what it is supposed to do. 5 star purchase.
Better then the TERK I had with XM November 19, 2008 Timothy C. Murphy (Columbia, TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got rid of my XM radio a few months ago. I had lots of problems with the TERK tuner and JVC interface causing prolonged signal change and dropping the signal in wide open areas that had no interference. After a couple months though I couldn't take the poor FM signal and lack of selection so I looked into Sirius since my TV satellite provider had Sirius on its music channels. The music was a bit better then the XM selection I had. The two are merging now but each has their good attributes though. This interface along with the universal tuner look a lot better and not so cheap like the TERK products did. They are more sturdy. The interface has an external electrical supply which I wired into the yellow power wire on my JVC receiver along with the black ground wire. It was a breeze. The TERK interface was powered through the main connection cable from the receiver. Seems like this configuration is a lot better since I have no long time waits on channel changes that would occur on the TERK model. The problems with the prior system could have been localized to that specific TERK product but I did find some forums with people having similar problems like I did. So far no problems and sure am happy to be able to listen to JAM 17-Phish, Dave Matthews, and Moe. ...etc with the great sound you only get through satellite (and HD radio if you got the signal strength). This product is Great in my opinion.
Does the job, I hate that I had to buy it August 5, 2009 Stefan (San Diego, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Finding a place to hide this baby was a challenge, the cord is pretty huge. Used it with a JVC KW-NT1.
