Ideal for child's first cd player August 10, 2010

I chose this for my son who is seven and is quite into listening to music in his bedroom. Its not too big and has reasonable sound quality and straight forward for him to use.

I purchased this phillips cd/radio/cassette player after reading the glowing reports from other customers, I was not disapointed the sound is very good and very easy to understand how everything works. It a nice compact size, ordered the silver one expecting it to be all silver, when it arrived the front was silver and the rest in white, I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

I am pleased with this product. It is basic but then at the price one would not expect anything else. It is not a system you would have as your main one in the lounge but in the kitchen or bedroom it is fine.
The only problem I have had with it is trying to use it with batteries. The first time I put them in and used the CD it was fine but on the second occasion it just would not work......there seems to be a problem switching from mains to battery.....it is as if something does not connect properly. I did want this option as I wanted to use it in the garden. I will try again and see if I can get it to work, if not I will return it.

On the demise of my last portable CD player I needed to find a suitable inexpensive player to provide background music for my qigong/tai chi classes. It neded to have good tone and volume, easily portable-not too heavy, and easy and reliable for constant on/off and track jumping. So far this has ticked all the boxes for my needs. I did read all the reviews before I ordered and have not been disappointed.

looks nice easy to work not many cd cassette players these days this one is ok and quite user friendly [this was bought for 74 year old to listen to her audio books and she loves it and can work it no problem ] what more can i say
